So over this weekend, I was given the brief of styling two music videos for 1 artist in a day! Fortunately I was given an artist who was great to work with and had amazing curves. Inspired by this job, I think there are a few tips I can give on dressing your curves.
Firstly don’t be afraid of colour! I love a woman who can be daring and confident in colour. There are great autumn colours right now, like the mustard 2 piece from Forever 21 (at the top) or the bright orange mini dress from River Island. I’m not necessarily saying go and the brightest outfit possible. But if it suits your skin tone then go for it. It’s all in the attitude
Here I played with a little draping and fringe. Draping is always good for giving great shape to outfits and can be used to hide problem areas. Also to add some sophistication, if you wear something short on the bottom then wearing long sleeves as a top helps to add class. The fringe helps with adding some drama to the overall outfit.
Do not be afraid to be sexy! To have curves is an absolute blessing. To be more confident in looks like this Forever 21 leather dress or the H&M sheer jumpsuit, wearing control garments underneath can help with giving that extra spice and keeping any problem areas under control. When going this sexy, black is always a great option. Add some colourful heels to elevate the look.
The bottom line is there is no excuse ladies! With winter approaching, we can all get out sexy on no matter our size.
A few weeks ago I was invited by fashion brand G Star Raw to the premiere of the i-D magazine documentary that really opened my eyes to the bigger problems in the world. ‘The Plastic Age’ is a documentary highlighting the life threatening issues that ordinary everyday plastics are having on our lives. Supported by Pharrell Williams (more…)
SS15 is finally kicking in with all this great weather, so with that being said it’s only appropriate to get you thinking about updating your wardrobe with some key pieces for this Spring/Summer for less than £50! (more…)
I attended the launch of Eleven Paris’ new Spring Summer 15 collection as well as the launch of their new magazine. Eleven Paris is a cool contemporary street wear brand that plays a lot with popular culture and classic street wear pieces. The current collection was inspired by a trip to South Africa which is detailed in the new magazine with Solange Knowles as the new cover girl for the brand.
The party was definitely lively with a great vibe, the drinks and canapés were tropical and the 20% was a very nice addition ;)
Below are more pictures from the event.
The store is located in Carnaby Street so be sure to pop down. With great menswear and womenswear options the store does not disappoint.
Yesterday evening I was invited to attend B. Make Up’s launch event for their new cosmetics and skincare collection as well as the launch of their professional make up brushes. Check out some of the products… (more…)
Hey guys, since last week my schedule has been very hectic, just about having time to myself, so excuse my delayed post.
So very last minute (I mean with only 24 hours to spare) I was contacted to style Kyra for her EP (named Bandages) launch party…yep only 24 hours, but you know what they say, “Beyoncé has the same 24 hours you” – so no excuses I had to pull it out of the bag….
